Greta Cox is the Founder, President and CEO of Creative Industrial Services (CIS), LLC. Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia; CIS is a Woman-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Minority-Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business providing innovative support services aligned with the needs of government and commercial clients world-wide in the areas of General & Mechanical contracting, providing personalized cost-effective facility equipment maintenance parts, and services that allow companies to maximize profits. We are an Industrial Distributor & mechanical contracting firm assisting government and commercial facilities in becoming energy efficient by offering the latest technology in NEMA Motors, Variable Frequency Drives, and Supply upgrade solar equipment to building maintenance facilities. We also specialize in construction, mechanical construction, mechanical contracting, engineering, business management, government healthcare facilities, commercial, residential, educational, and retail building systems construction and design.

Greta leads the company’s activities related to daily operations, budget, finance, legal, human resource management, strategic planning and quality assurance of operations and mission completion. Sales and marketing are shared responsibilities.

Prior to forming CIS, Greta served 28 years in the United States Army. She served twelve years as an Enlisted Administrative Specialist and Supply Sergeant performing supply operations such as contract administration, procurement, equipment accountability, inventories, storage, delivery and maintenance operations. She later went on to become a commissioned officer and served eighteen years in numerous Chief Logistics Operations and Budget positions. She served as a Logistics Operations and Staff Officer with the Army Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operations Center, Human Resources Command in Virginia. Budget Analyst Supervisor with the Joint Personal Property Shipping Office Washington Area at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She was the Chief Logistics Officer with the Reserve Component Service Member Support Center, Army Reserve Medical Command in Pinellas Park, Florida. She served two tours as Chief Logistics Operations Officer during Operation Iraqi Freedom with 3d Medical Command, 8th and 9th Detachments in support of more than 20,000 Soldiers, Contractors, and Civilian personnel operating within the United States Central Command to include: Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Qatar, Kandahar, and Bagram, Afghanistan. Her culminating assignment, she served as the Executive Officer and the Army Liaison Notification Officer for the Joint Personal Effects Depot, Mortuary Affairs Operations Center, The Adjutant General at Dover Air Force Base, Dover, Delaware, where she represented the Chief of Staff of the Army in honoring our Fallen Heroes and their Families.

Greta served as the principle logistics operations advisor to the Command Staff. She developed, implemented, and managed coordination of logistics operations worldwide, she wrote military policy, established and implemented standard operation procedures; provided oversight of logistical support to include supplies, services, transportation, maintenance, cold chain management movement, contract administration, procurement, equipment accountability, storage, and inventory accountability. Other areas of responsibilities included Contracting Officer Representative, Government Purchase Card Holder and billing official, monitored contractor performance, clarified requirements, and mitigated performance issues, established internal controls to maintain 100% accountability of government assets of more than $10 million dollars. She ensured maximum supply readiness to ensure all assets were mission capable, on hand and ready to execute.

Greta also served as a Department of Defense Army Budget Analyst Supervisor. She was responsible for budget oversight and accountability for the Resource Management Office. She performed budget formulation, execution and analysis, conducted year end closeout and reconciliations, maintained, monitored, and executed ten divisional budgets, performed funds certification, forecasted resource requirements and proposed recommendations based on analysis and findings relative to historical operational trends. Served as the chief adviser to the command and provided product design, development, and evaluation of financial management processes to complete mission requirements.

Greta also has ten years corporate management experience as a Senior Accountant with a former State Healthcare Management Organization, Tender Loving Care in Memphis, Tennessee. Her corporate experience and proven military career has equipped her with the skills and knowledge to propel CIS into a new cutting edge fortune 500 company. Greta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a focus in Accounting. She has also completed numerous courses and career education development courses through the military.
