TONY A. CURRIE BIOGRAPHY
Tony Currie is the Founder, President, and CEO of Creative Industrial Services (CIS), LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Minority-Owned Small Disadvantaged Business headquartered in Coral Springs, Florida. CIS delivers facility maintenance, mechanical contracting, and energy-efficiency solutions to government and commercial clients nationwide, including NEMA motors, variable-frequency drives, and solar equipment supply.
Tony brings over three decades of operational leadership to CIS. From 2016 to 2023, he served as a Maintenance Mechanic Leader at the Bruce W. Carter Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Miami, FL, where he oversaw maintenance operations for a critical federal healthcare facility. His responsibilities included managing staff, coordinating inspections, initiating work orders, and resolving deficiencies across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and lighting systems, all in an environment where operational continuity directly impacts patient care.
Prior to his tenure at the VA, Tony owned and operated TACKDAL Enterprises from 1977 to 2008, a 31-year run that sharpened his expertise in project management, subcontractor oversight, budgeting, and quality control across a range of facility and construction services. That experience gives him a firsthand understanding of the accountability, scheduling discipline, and cost consciousness that government clients demand.
Tony’s professional foundation was built in the United States Marine Corps, where he served from 1975 to 1977 as a Lance Corporal and Records Systems Coordinator. In that role, he managed the migration of physical Service Record Books into electronic databases, an early exposure to data integrity, systems thinking, and the exacting standards that define military operations.
